On the evening of December 3rd, once again, Kelli Kerns & Tim & Becky Cron opened wide the doors of the Sawtooth Hotel & welcomed the Sawtooth Ski Club’s annual business meeting. We thank them for their gracious hospitality. Attendance was great & the African Nut soup and biscuit dinner Becky prepared was wonderful. Ski Club president David Keiski read minutes of the previous year’s meeting & related all current relevant news to the Ski Club member audience. There was a recap of the Ski Trail Work Days held in October & of our efforts to get professional help from Rob Beck for removal of downed & hazard trees. Sawtooth Ski Club Website status & the grooming program were discussed. Board member Al Jones offered his piston bully assistance during discussion of equipment status & needs. Thanks were given to the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch for allowing the Ski Club to store grooming machines and implements. Board member Jeff Ballas has been invaluable in dealing with the club’s equipment management. The USFS has also been helpful with storing & erecting Ski Area closure signs & hazard tree removal.. Our financial report was presented. The issue of fat tire bike use on the ski trails was discussed. Ski Festival planning was announced & volunteers requested. Elections were held. Tim Cron & Jeff Ballas retained their positions on the Ski Club Board of Directors. Many members took the opportunity to renew their annual memberships.
