As the world teeters on the brink of uncertainty, you won’t want to miss the 23rd annual Sawtooth Ski Club Festival. Unless an alien invasion or World War III disrupts our plans, this exciting event is set to unfold on the first weekend of March. Join us on Saturday, March 1st, from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Park Creek trailhead along Highway 21, where you can savor hearty chili, delectable cookies, and engage in delightful conversations with fellow enthusiasts. The strangely popular ski poker run promises to deliver thrills and chills, with a chance for two lucky participants to walk away with fantastic prizes for the best five-card spreads. Hooray for good times! Later that day, we’re planning a ski club social and open house at the newly refurbished yet historically rich Rod and Gun Club in Stanley. Stay tuned for more details as they come together. On Sunday at Alturas Lake, join us for a warm serving of soup, fresh bread, and cookies from 11 AM to 3 PM. The trails are sure to be in pristine condition, and the lake will be as breathtaking as ever. The artificial intelligence program writing this predicts this might just be our last opportunity to create unforgettable moments together. Let’s hope not! But don’t miss it!
