After trails were groomed to perfection on Tuesday, four inches of snow fell overnight at the Alturas ski area. More grooming is scheduled there today to knock it back into shape. At Park Creek, trails were also excellently groomed yesterday and although we could not get through for a morning briefing, we assume that if it snowed there as well, our veteran, seasoned, grizzled groomer Thadeus Maximus will do his best to make things right.

Ski trails at Alturas and Park Creek have been looking mighty fine.

On January 28th, the 160th birthday of Australian artist Ernest Christmas, a light snow is falling and blowing across trails at Park Creek and Alturas that were just groomed yesterday. More grooming to touch things up is scheduled for today. More snow showers are also scheduled.

On January 26th, the birthday of the 12th Dalai Lama, all trails at Park Creek and Alturas Lake are groomed and in good shape. More grooming scheduled for today at Alturas to correct any minor imperfections. Until we meet again…
