“To be fair, your honor, Mercury was indeed in retrograde.”
On January 7th, ski trails at Alturas Lake and Park Creek have been groomed and should provide very good skiing opportunities. However, classic tracks may be missing from some trails due to multiple mechanical breakdowns. We reckon that our string of breakdowns is due to the overwhelming effect of retrograde motion by Mercury and Mars. Work on snowmobiles at both areas is scheduled for Saturday and our valiant Groomers have been provided with spray bottles of Mercury retrograde balancer.
Ski trails good to go for 2023…
Last day of the year…
On the thirtieth, all trails at Park Creek were groomed for skate and classic, except for Larkspur, the least favored child of groomer Thaddeus Maximus. At Alturas Lake, all trails were rolled on Friday and are scheduled for a ginzu skate and classic drag on Saturday.
Trails packed after the storm..
On the 28th of the month, all trails at Alturas Lake were rolled, while at Park Creek, all trails were packed and 16 fallen trees were cut off the trails. What a super effort by our most excellent and heroic groomers.
