FIRST GROOMING

On Tuesday, the first grooming of the season took place at the Alturas Lake Ski Area. The Trail to the Lake as far as the bridge junction, Over the Hill and South Loop were compacted and rolled. No other trails have been compacted and with no directional signs in place yet and warm afternoon temperatures leading to a mushy snow pack, skiing conditions are rated as pretty poor to barely tolerable.
