On Saturday, at the Alturas lake ski area, the skating lanes on all trails to the east of Alturas lake creek were touched up. More grooming is scheduled for around 11a.m. Sunday. Snow conditions may vary rapidly from hard to soft in the afternoon sun… just a word to the wise for those big downhills… Spring is in the air, better watch your speed.
