TEMPERATURES WARMING AT ALTURAS

On January first, 2015, with the temperature shivering through single digits, the pretty girl from the village donned several layers of winter pants, mittens and sweaters, fleeces and jackets, and wrapped her head in multiple scarves and hats like an arctic bedouin and headed out into the frigid wilderness, accompanying  Davinius on his yearly pilgrimage to Alturas Lake on the first day of the new year. They cut through the pure white snow fields with ginzu knives, sacrificing their own flesh to the cold on that holy day of obligation once known as the Feast of the Circumcision. All trails were groomed except for North Cabin Creek which is scheduled for its initial packing today, January 2nd, now that neophyte grooming acolyte Timmy has returned from his sojourn in the woods of Oregon.
